Born in Jerez, adopted by Chile, and with my heart in Albaicín. I am the father of two wonderful sons (Marcos Antonio and Juan Manuel) and the partner of an intelligent, revolutionary, and creative woman, Fabiola Cortés Cortés. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Valencia, Spain, a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies with a specialization in philosophy from the University of La Serena, Chile, and a Ph.D. from the University of Granada, Spain.
I am 44 years old. I am a full member of the permanent faculty of the Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Studies on Thought, Culture, and Society at the University of Valparaíso, Chile; and a member of the Interdisciplinary and Interprofessional Education Committee of the Faculty of Medicine at the same university.
Currently, I hold the position of Full Professor at the University of Valparaíso (Faculty of Medicine – School of Early Childhood Education), where I engage in teaching, research, and academic management activities.
