Cities that have welcomed me

Granada

Villa Alemana

Valdivia

La Serena

Valencia

Jerez de la Frontera

These are the six cities where I have had the opportunity to live, marvel, build friendships, and be immensely happy. From Jerez de la Frontera, I was fortunate to travel to Valencia (1997) to pursue my undergraduate studies. The dream of experiencing another culture led me to Chile (the city of La Serena) in 2002. In La Serena, I met Fabiola, our first child was born, and I delved into Latin American thought, in addition to making wonderful friendships that I still maintain to this day. After 7 years, along with Fabiola and Marcos, we moved to the Universidad Austral de Chile in the city of Valdivia, a space-time filled with beautiful landscapes enriched by its people. There, Juan Manuel, our second child, was born. In early 2013, we decided to return to a sunnier and drier climate and be closer to Fabiola’s family in Chile. That’s how we arrived in the V Region of Chile. That’s where I am at the moment, working at the University of Valparaíso and living in the city of Villa Alemana. Although we live in Villa Alemana, in October 2022, we moved to the city of Granada, Spain. A space-time that is allowing me to relive the scents, flavors, and sounds of flamenco, so familiar but long-forgotten. We live in the Albaicin, a neighborhood that allows for the coexistence of diverse cultures and will undoubtedly be a milestone in the life of our entire family. In October 2023, we will return to the V Region of Chile.
